For this week’s artist spotlight, we focus on all-around sound guru, Peter Albrechtsen. Peter has worked on a ton of amazing projects, including Dunkirk, for which he helmed the Sound FX recording. Most recently, he worked on the Amazon Studios documentary, “Generation Wealth,” and was nice enough to discuss this and plenty more!
This week we spotlight Tony nominated Sound Designer, Dan Moses Schreier. Dan was nominated for his work on The Iceman Cometh, and has designed, as well as scored a variety of other shows. Also, don’t miss Jake’s chat with Devin Gati as they discuss whether a song loses its legendary status, once it’s played out. Have a listen!
Jake is joined in the studio by Emmy-Nominated Composer, Cindy O’Connor. In her short career she has already worked on some amazing projects, and her nomination is for the hit ABC show, “Once Upon a Time.” They talk about all this and more. Also, check out the intro to hear what song our host thinks needs to be retired from being placed in Film/TV.
Our host ventures out of the studio, and on to the Sony Pictures lot to moderate the Cobra Kai panel for the Society of Composers and Lyricists. Jake was joined by series composers, Leo Birenberg & Zach Robinson, and actors, Xolo Maridueña & Mr. “Sweep the leg” himself: Martin Kove! They discuss everything Cobra Kai, so sit back and have a listen!
